The Conroe Tigerettes have torn up non-district opponents, dropping just one in 11 tries. But now it gets serious.
Conroe will travel to take on one of the top Class 5A teams in the state. The Woodlands is a staple in the playoffs and last year went all the way to the state championship match. The Tigerettes will find out just how good they really are when they match up on the road with this state power.

What’s at stake: Conroe has been impressive in non-district play. The match on Friday gives Conroe an opportunity to join the class of elite 5A teams.

Conroe players to watch: Jordan Patin, Jessica Picquinto, Ashley Young.
TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Woodlands: The Lady Highlanders are once again among the state’s top Class 5A teams. They enter district play with just two losses (Belton, Cinco Ranch) but have avenged both of those setbacks by outscoring those two opponents by a combined score of 5-0. The Woodlands has recorded nine shutouts in 11 victories this season.
Conroe: The Tigerettes entered district play with an impressive 9-1-1 record, including a 5-0 shutout of Bryan Rudder to close out the predistrict schedule. Jordan Partin and Jessica Picquinto scored two goals each while Ashley Young recorded the shutout in goal. The Tigerettes also have a 2-0 shutout of Tomball under their belts.
