A man was shot in the chest at a West Gladstell apartment complex Sunday evening, according to the Conroe Police Department.

Police responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Gladstell at about 9 p.m. and found a Hispanic man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The man was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands.

Through investigation and witness statements, police determined that the suspect lived in the complex and found him standing on the front balcony of his apartment.

Lucio Soleto-Garcia, 29, was detained and interviewed. A .22 caliber gun was found in the suspect’s apartment, the same type of weapon used in the crime.

Soleto-Garcia was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
