Conroe will consider a new ordinance on March 25 to prohibit texting or web-browsing while driving. Montgomery County’s seven public libraries saw a significant increase in business last year and much of the growth is attributed to the poor economy. Conroe’s Community Development Block Grant program will provide homes this year for 11 residents who qualified for the program. Tri-County Mental Health Mental Retardation, serving Montgomery, Walker and Liberty counties, held a groundbreaking Wednesday for a 16-bed, 12,000-square-foot Crisis Stabilization Unit.
